Discover the Truth of Off‑Grid Life: A Couple Thriving at the Edge of the Map.

Furthermost Outpost

Every map has an edge. Beyond it lies the territory that doesn’t make it into guidebooks or travel brochures — the places where stories gather like weather, where history lingers in the quiet, and where the unknown still has room to breathe. Furthermost Outpost was created to explore those edges.

This podcast is a home for the curious, the wanderers, and anyone drawn to the spaces just outside the familiar. Each episode takes you somewhere different: a remote trail, a forgotten settlement, a strange encounter, or a story that refuses to fade. Some journeys are rooted in real landscapes and lived experience. Others drift into the speculative, the uncanny, or the unexplained. All of them share the same spirit of exploration.

What We Do

Furthermost Outpost blends storytelling, conversation, and atmosphere to bring listeners into the heart of the unknown. We seek out voices and experiences that don’t always get a spotlight — people who’ve lived on the margins, traveled far from the beaten path, or uncovered something unusual in their corner of the world.

Guests of the Outpost

Many episodes feature guests whose lives intersect with the themes of the show: explorers, researchers, historians, storytellers, and individuals with remarkable or unusual experiences. Their insights help shape the world we’re building here.

If you believe you have a story, perspective, or experience that belongs at the Outpost, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out through our contact page and tell us what you’d like to share.

Why We Exist

In a world overflowing with noise, Furthermost Outpost is a place for quiet curiosity — a space to slow down, listen, and follow the threads of stories that lead somewhere unexpected. It’s a reminder that the world is still full of mysteries, and that sometimes the most interesting places are the ones just beyond the edge of the map.

Impressive new Site. As usual, your photography is stunning, such vivid clarity and thought-provoking composition…. just like your long-running Blog! It’s such a difficult decision trying to determine which of your many’ Offerings’ is the most stunning and alluring – the challenge and reward of the commute to get there, the pregnant silence of the vast emptiness around you, once you do, the succulent feasts at meal time, your magnetic personalities, or just living it all vicariously through your Blog, or Podcast. Dither dither, I love them all!
