Guest Booking Terms, Resort Policies, and Conditions of Stay

Furthermost Outpost at Eliguk Lake Lodge is a very remote wilderness fishing resort. All guests are responsible for reading and complying with these resort policies and conditions of stay while on the property and participating in any activities.

Parental Supervision and Responsibility for Minors
Parents and legal guardians are fully and solely responsible for the care, supervision, conduct, and safety of their children and minors at all times while on the property. The resort does not provide child supervision, babysitting, lifeguarding, or monitoring services. Parents and guardians remain solely responsible for ensuring that minors do not engage in unsafe conduct, wander the property unsupervised, disturb animals, enter the water, board boats, or access restricted or hazardous areas without direct adult oversight.

Children’s Life Jackets
The resort does not provide children’s life jackets. Children’s life jackets are highly size-specific and must be selected according to the child’s weight, size, and proper fit requirements. Parents and guardians must bring a properly fitting, government-certified life jacket for each child who may be on or near the water or in any boat.

Boating and Water Use
Any guest who participates in boating, or who wishes to be on or near the water, is responsible for bringing and using their own properly fitting, government-certified personal flotation device where required. The resort has only a limited number of generic adult life jackets on site, and these may not fit every guest properly. Guests who operate any motorized boat are responsible for holding any legally required proof of competency under Canadian law.

Fishing, Swimming, and Water Access
All fishing is done entirely at the guest’s own risk. All swimming, wading, bathing, and any entry into the water are done entirely at the guest’s own risk. Guests and parents or guardians of minors are responsible for using good judgment and exercising caution around shorelines, docks, boats, and all water access areas.

Dogs, Livestock, and Pets
The resort maintains working wilderness dogs on site to help deter predators and protect the property and livestock, including free-range chickens. Guests must not provoke, tease, harass, strike, feed, or interfere with the dogs. No guest may bring a pet or other animal onto the property without the prior express permission of the resort owners.

Wildlife Awareness
Guests are staying at a remote wilderness property where wildlife may be present at any time, including bears, wolves, moose, coyotes, birds of prey, rodents, insects, and other wild animals. Guests must remain alert and exercise caution at all times, especially while walking trails, moving between buildings, and using shorelines or docks.

Smoking, Fire Safety, and Guest Conduct
Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas, if any. Guests are responsible for ensuring smoking materials are fully extinguished and safely disposed of. No guest may light an unauthorized campfire, burn debris, or create any open flame risk outside approved areas. All guests must comply with local and provincial fire restrictions, resort safety rules, and staff directions at all times.

General Guest Responsibility
All guests are expected to behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner while on the property. The resort reserves the right to restrict or terminate a guest’s stay or participation where conduct creates a risk to other guests, staff, animals, or property.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement

Please read carefully. By signing this agreement, you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

This agreement is entered into between the undersigned guest or participant and Eliguk Lake Lodge Outfitters Inc., carrying on business as Furthermost Outpost at Eliguk Lake Lodge, together with its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, pilots, guides, volunteers, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”).

Furthermost Outpost at Eliguk Lake Lodge is a very remote wilderness fishing resort. I understand that my attendance at, travel to or from, presence on, and participation in any activities associated with the resort involve inherent risks, dangers, and hazards, including serious injury, illness, death, property damage, property loss, delayed rescue, delayed evacuation, and limited emergency response.

I understand that these risks include, without limitation, risks associated with remote wilderness travel, floatplane or boat access, walking trails, uneven terrain, docks, shorelines, cabins, stairs, decks, camp areas, changing weather, wildfire smoke, cold water, slipping, falling, wildlife encounters, and the general hazards of being in a remote wilderness environment.

I understand that wildlife, including but not limited to bears, wolves, moose, coyotes, birds of prey, insects, and other wild animals, may be present on or around the property, on surrounding trails, and near shorelines or buildings. I understand that such encounters may be dangerous and unpredictable.

I understand that all fishing is done entirely at my own risk.

I understand that all swimming, wading, bathing, and any entry into the water are done entirely at my own risk.

I understand that boating, dock use, shoreline access, and movement near or on the water involve additional risk, including slipping, falling, drowning, cold-water exposure, and the possibility of delayed rescue or medical response due to the remote location.

I understand that the resort maintains working wilderness dogs and livestock on site, and I accept all risks associated with being in a wilderness property where such animals are present.

I acknowledge that parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising minors at all times while on the property, including around water, docks, boats, trails, dogs, livestock, wildlife areas, and all other resort facilities or wilderness hazards.

I voluntarily accept and fully assume all risks, dangers, and hazards associated with my attendance at the resort and participation in any activities, whether guided or unguided.

In consideration of being permitted to attend, stay at, travel to or from, or participate in activities associated with Furthermost Outpost at Eliguk Lake Lodge, I hereby agree as follows:

I waive any and all claims that I have or may in the future have against the Releasees.

I release the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense, injury, illness, death, property loss, property damage, rescue expense, evacuation expense, delay, or other loss suffered by me or my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns, or representatives arising from or connected with my presence on the property, my participation in activities, fishing, swimming, boating, trail use, wildlife encounters, dog or livestock interactions, remote transport, use of resort facilities, or any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of duty, occupiers’ liability, breach of contract, or any other legal fault on the part of the Releasees, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, liabilities, costs, losses, damages, or legal expenses arising from my conduct, my breach of this agreement, or any claim brought by or on behalf of a third party arising from my presence at the resort.

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any litigation shall be brought exclusively in British Columbia.

If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the balance shall remain in full force and effect.

I confirm that I have read and understood this agreement, that I understand it is a legal document, that I understand I am waiving important legal rights including the right to sue, and that I sign it freely and voluntarily.
