Welcome to the Furthermost Outpost Podcast

Join Arön and Jennifer as they document their journey into remote, off‑grid living.
Each episode brings you deeper into the wilderness — the people we meet, the lessons we learn, and the stories that shape life at the edge of the map.
The Toland’s invite you behind the scenes as they carve out a crazy, adventurous, hands-on self reliant journey deep in British Columbia’s remote & unforgiving Chilcotin.
Trading convenience & city life for timber wolves & grizzly bears. Arön, a Jack-of-all-trades turned Mountain Man, rocking the Off-Grid lifestyle so hard it landed him on History Channels Mountain Men (S-12). Turning Jennifer into a witty domestic gourmet chef, highly tolerant, adaptable, with built-in coping mechanisms to deal with her extreme spouse as they renovate & operate a once abandoned fishing resort at Eliguk Lake.

Hahaha! Sometimes I wake up to frost on the ceiling, which the dogs are fine with when they’re inside. We can’t make it too warm in the cabin now, or they pant and pace at night.

Guys – I’m loving your podcast.

Your personalities shine through in every episode, and you can clearly hear the love you have—not just for each other—but for the life you have built at Eliguk Lake Resort. When I listen, it honestly feels like I’m right there with you..

What makes this podcast special is how real you both are. Your honesty, vulnerability, and humour come through in every story. No sugar coating—just real people sharing real experiences with authenticity and heart.

Even if off-grid living isn’t a listeners ‘thing’, your storytelling will have listeners belly laughing, shaking their head, and occasionally gasping at what you’ve been through.

I anxiously wait for each new episode and I’m thrilled that you both have found peace and fulfilment in this adventure.
